A user named Himanshu Jain Nayak wrote, ‘This is not a mere coincidence, it is a successful experiment for the UP elections. But the public will be able to suffocate the party by putting the current of defeat on the big liar party. Apart from this, Jitendra Dongre wrote, ‘Sir, the Election Commissioner is an officer of the Election Commission and is a citizen of India, he can be from anywhere. Please leave UP, Bihar and do some kind of work then only you can come back to power.
Let us tell you that Anoop Chandra Pandey, a retired IAS officer of 1984 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has recently been appointed as Election Commissioner. After his appointment, now the Election Commission has three people including the Chief Election Commissioner. Anoop Chandra Pandey retired as Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh in 2019. However, his tenure was extended by the Yogi government for 6 months. One post in the 3-member commission was vacant after former Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora retired. Now after the appointment of Anoop Chandra, all the three posts have been filled.
Questions are being raised continuously regarding the appointment of Anoop Chandra Pandey. His Twitter cover photo was also made an issue, in which he was seen with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
