Lalitpur: CMO lost the battle of life while saving Corona patients, police gave guard of honor on death

In Uttar Pradesh’s Lalitpur district, a doctor saved the lives of several corona positive patients and later got himself infected with corona. Due to this he died. The last rites of the CMO were performed with state honours.

Amit Chaturvedi, CMO of District Hospital, Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, died of corona. He did not leave the patients’ side even during the horrific crisis of the epidemic. However, while saving the lives of many patients, they lost their lives from Corona in the past. After the death of Dr. Chaturvedi, on Thursday, the Police Department gave him a last farewell by giving him a guard of honor. Many leaders and doctors including the District Magistrate were present on this occasion.

MD Physician and Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Amit Chaturvedi (59 years) posted in District Hospital Lalitpur was continuously treating corona infected patients. During this, he saved the lives of many serious corona infected patients. On 28 April last, he got infected with corona while treating patients. Meanwhile, his wife Anita Chaturvedi died on 6 May due to corona infection.

At the same time, doctor Amit Chaturvedi was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for proper treatment, where he died the previous day. His body was brought to Lalitpur. To pay tribute to him, District Magistrate A. All the officers including Dinesh Kumar had arrived. His last rites were performed at the crematorium at Elite Square. During this, he was given a final farewell by giving a guard of honour.
