A group of doctors has said that large-scale, indiscriminate and incomplete vaccination could lead to the growth of mutant strains of the corona virus. Physicians have suggested that there is no need to vaccinate those who have been exposed to corona virus infection. Let us inform that in this group, doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) also include members of the National Task Force on Kovid-19. The group has said in a recent report that instead of mass vaccination of people, only those who are vulnerable and in the risk category should be vaccinated.
Experts from the Indian Public Health Association, the Indian Association of Epidemiologists and the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine have said in their report, “The current epidemic situation in the country demands that vaccination should be opened up to all age groups at this stage.” Instead we should guide ourselves by epidemiological data.
It is being told that the report related to this has been submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It underscores that vaccination of young adults and children is not evidence-supported and will not be economical. The report said that unplanned vaccination could lead to mutated forms of the virus. It states that there is no need to vaccinate those who have been exposed to corona virus infection.
