Denmark accused Russia of violating airspace

The Danish Defense Ministry said that the Russian Air Force violated the country’s airspace twice a day. Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod named these actions are deliberate. According to the Danish Defense Ministry, both incidents took place in the area of Bornholm Island in the southwestern part of the Baltic Sea. The Russian side has not yet commented on the situation.

“Such violations of the Danish air borders are very rare, so two events on the same day should be considered serious. There should be no doubt that such violations are unacceptable, ”Danish Defense Minister Trine Bramsen quotes the Danish media Fyens.dk and Ritsaus Bureau Agency (translated by TASS).

In August 2020, Denmark announced that the Russian Su-27 fighter, during the interception of the US Air Force B-52 bomber over the Baltic, also violated the country’s airspace near Bornholm.
