From June 21, the new vaccination policy will be implemented in the country, in which 94 crore people above the age of 18 years will be given free vaccines. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this policy on 7 June. According to this, the central government will buy 75% of the vaccines from vaccine companies, while 25% of the vaccines can be bought by private hospitals directly from these companies. Private hospitals can charge a service charge of up to Rs 150 in addition to the cost of the vaccine. The responsibility of monitoring the prices in private hospitals has been given to the state governments.
