The second wave of corona in Bihar is slowly coming to a halt. But with this the discussion on the third wave has started. Considering that children are likely to be affected the most, health experts have urged parents to be cautious rather than panic.
Everyone should be careful – Expert
Dr Arun Shah, a Pediatrician from Muzaffarpur claims that children can easily defeat the virus as they have strong immunity. However, Doctor Arun is also asking especially the elders i.e. adults to take all the precautions related to Kovid. Dr Arun says that a large number of people, especially children, should be vaccinated before the third wave hits the state.
According to Dr Vivekananda, a pediatrician, ‘The new strain of corona found in Singapore is dangerous for children, but it is not a matter of much concern. If children get the rest of the vaccines, then they are also likely to fight against Kovid-19.
Do not go directly to the children when returning from outside
On the rules of prevention from Corona, Dr. Vivekananda says that ‘Whenever you return home from office or outside, do not go to the children without bathing and changing clothes.’ Child surgeon Preeti Kashyap is also giving similar opinion. He says that ‘the third wave will not be as severe as the second, but one has to be cautious.’ She urges parents to follow safety norms like double masking, social distancing and hand sanitization and also to teach children how to prevent COVID-19.
